The virtual reality is used in various applications such as sports, architecture, entertainment and others. The augmented reality devices make use of cameras, sensors, gyroscope, digital compass and accelerometer, displays and GPS.
The augmented reality and virtual reality market is expected to grow at CAGR of 40.5% owing to the increasing penetration of devices in retail, healthcare, entertainment, gaming and other accessories as head mounted devices and headphones. Most of the consumers are experiencing the three dimensional reality using smartphones and other dedicated AR devices. The rising internet connectivity and computer technology are driving the market. The market comes with the issues such as privacy of the user, hardware costs, and underdeveloped graphics technology that might hinder the market globally. The North America region has been dominating the market due to highly advanced technologies and presence of numerous companies providing AR and VR related products.
